INTERNATIONAL KARATE SHOTOKAN - SHORIN RYU - KABUDO FEDERATION
The name Kabudo Karate is currently being developed by Grandmaster Minh H Nguyen in the US and Grandmaster Thanh Winter-Luong in Germany.
The original is of Japanese imperial origin and was developed in the 1980s in Vietnam through Master General Ling Qwang Eng and Master Le Kim Long in Saigon, Vietnam. Kabudo Karate is a martial arts system that combines elements of Shotokan Karate, Kung Fu, Judo, Aikido, Tai Chi, MMA and Tibetan Martial Arts. Kabudo Karate combines combat techniques, and train to use weapons such as Sai, Bo, Tonfa, and Nunchaku. Grandmaster Minh Hang Nguyen applied and keep continue training this KABUDO system since the year of 1987 in Saigon Vietnam, Thailand 1993 and USA 1995 until now. Grandmaster Thanh Winter-Luong came to Germany in 1988 and introduced Kabudo Karate in Berlin in 1992. Master Thanh Winter Luong combined this KABUDO Karate style with traditional Vietnamese martial arts and developed as today's Kabudo Karate VKS. Kabudo Karate VKS includes katas of Karate, Kung-Fu, Quyen of Vietnamese martial arts and katas for weapons such as nunchaku, sai, sword and stick (Bo). The students first learn the hard techniques such as blocks, kicks, bats, etc., then later the techniques and how to use weapons as Sai, Bo, Tonfa, Nunchaku and Sword.
These two grandmasters Minh Nguyen and Thanh Winter Luong are keep continue training Kabudo Karate in Europe, America and Asia. Addtionally, they are still developed and have many of masters who represented in worldwide.
